ROS Series Oil Water Separator These steel oil/water separators are a high performance, coalescing design for removal of free and finely dispersed oil droplets from oily wastestreams. The industrial duty ROS design has many features such as solids V-hopper, adjustable water weir, integral inlet diffuser, A-36 carbon steel or stainless steel construction and many options to provide engineers, system integrators and end users with convenience and flexibility in oil separator system configuration choices.
API Oil Water Separator
API Oil Water Separator. API oil water separators are passive, physical separation systems designed for removal of oils, fuels, hydraulic fluids, LNAPL and DNAPL products from water. The API Series steel gravity Oil/Water Separators are designed per American Petroleum Institute (API) standards for above and below grade applications. Skimoil designed performance can be described by a combination of Stokes Law and current coalescing plate theory.
Stainless Steel Oil Water Separators (OWS)
The #SSC/OWS/EX Stainless Steel Series steel coalescing Oil Water Separators (OWS)are designed for applications where a rugged high performance coalescing oil water separator design is desired using coalescing media. This industrial duty #SSC/OWS/EX design has many features such as solids V-hopper, adjustable water weir, integral inlet diffuser. Typical performance is 10 ppm or less, 30 micron oil droplet.
Air Compressor Condensate Oil Water Separator Evaporator
The ConEVAP™ Air Compressor Condensate Oil Water Separator Evaporator is a thermostatically controlled, electrically heated evaporation unit that separates air compressor condensate from spent compressor lubricant. The condensate water leaves the unit as atmospheric steam and the lubricant is periodically drained from the unit.
ShoreVAP Gas Fired Waste Water Evaporator
The ShoreVAP waste water evaporator has been engineered to efficiently evaporate the water content from many non-combustible waste water sources. A power exhaust system releases the moisture into the air, leaving only a small residue requiring disposal.
Dissolved Air Flotation - DAF
The DAF process consists of super saturation of discharge water from the effluent end of the DAF tank with air. The super saturated water stream is then mixed with the wastestream. As pressure is removed from the saturated stream millions of microscopic bubbles form and attach themselves to the contaminants in the wastewater, thereby changing their buoyancy and floating them to the water surface where they can be skimmed and removed from the water.
BILGMON 488
The IMO Res. MEPC.107(49) resolution regulates the design and performance of the oily water separators (OWS)and the 15 ppm Bilge Alarms for machinery space bilges of ships. Each ship must have a certified 15 ppm bilge alarm for measuring the oil content in the discharge water. The 15 ppm Bilge Alarm type BilgMon 488 is approved and certified in accordance with the latest IMO resolution MEPC.107(49) and in addition, designed to meet the particular needs from the crew when processing the bilge water.
Coalescing Media
SkimOIL ® ‘s Flow-Thru , Coalescing Media Systems provide high performance oils and fuels separation in a compact, high surface area design. Flow-Thru coalescing media systems are designed to remove non-emulsified, free & dispersed oils and fuels from water. Coalescing Media is a standard feature of our high performance oil water separators and are also offered for replacement or retrofitting of existing tanks to improve performance and increase flow rates. Removal efficiencies have been as low as <1 mg/L down to non-detect.
Automatic Floating Weir Oil Skimmer-Separator
Automatic smart oil skimmer system is a self contained skimmer purposely built for specific jobs. Originally designed for hydro dams—to go down into very deep wells and automatically skim and separate oil from water and pump the oil up to the surface —automatically. With onboard pumps, controls, and monitoring, the automatic floating weir oil skimmer is fully programmable.
Ground Water Remediation Systems
The GWRS systems are designed for treatment of water generated by pump and treated groundwater remediation facilities. System configuration can be customized depending on the project needs. the GWRS systems are designed to remove petroleum based oils, fuels, organics, suspended solids, and other contaminants. Where removal of high loadings of suspended solids, dissolved minerals and metals are required, additional treatment or design may be needed. Any of our treatment products can be combined to design the needed configuration for any flow rate and contaminant type(s).

They rely on the differential in specific gravity between oil and water to do the separation. The addition of a coalescer media improves the removal efficiency, allowing finer separation within the same space. Below are the different types of oil water separators.

There’s another GREAT option for oil and water separation that does separate the two….but it does it by evaporating the water portion away…leaving you with just the oils and any solids. With our atmospheric evaporators the water is gone….separated from the oil. We have several different types of water / waste water evaporator systems. Electric evaporators have no emissions at all!
