WHY FTRFS MATTERS
If you rely on diesel generators, your fuel can’t fail when it matters most. This system ensures your fuel stays clean—automatically—so your power is ready anytime, anywhere.
Overview: Why Clean Fuel Matters
The Fuel Tank Recirculating Filter System (FTRFS) is a packaged system incorporating the patented Diesel Fuel Purifier, filter-less filter / separator. These recirculating systems are purpose designed specifically for your fuel tanks, application and conditions, to keep fuels free from dirt and water by keeping up with the contamination instead of trying to catch up with it. If you have diesel generator equipment…you have to keep your fuel in good shape……or you’re NOT going to be generating power.
The FTRFS automatically recirculates and polishes fuel at given flow rate (2-50 GPM), for a single storage tank on a preprogrammed schedule and includes the SkimOIL ® Universal Fuel Purifier (TFP series), an optional three-phase 99.5% efficient fuel coalescer, and a high-efficiency fuel filter, and comes equipped with a continuous-duty motor and fuel pump, stainless-steel fittings and a separate UL-listed PLC controller in a NEMA 4 enclosure.
Modern systems for modern fuel requirements. FTRFS systems can be designed for use with ultra-low-sulfur diesel (ULSD) fuel. Duplex pump units (DPU) and multi-tank units (MTU) are also available. Programmable purification systems from SkimOIL ® can be configured to meet your diesel fuel operation and diesel fuel quality requirements. From permanently installed automated systems to skid solutions that can be transported and set in place rapidly to polishing panels to fit irregular or tight areas, SkimOIL ® has programmable fuel cleaning solutions.
Need generator power ? You’ll be needing clean fuel for that!

How It Works: Dialysis-Style Purification
From day 1 after after fuel delivery, your diesel fuel starts deteriorating due to any water already in your tank and more that came in with the fuel. The Fuel Tank Recirculating Filter System (FTRFS) keeps the fuel ready to use, eliminating water, heavy solids and bio-junk before they get to your primary filters.
We still suggest you install an individual fuel purifier (TFP) in-line between the fuel tank or day tank and the diesel engine / generator to remove any moisture or contaminants before they enter the engine fuel system.
The Fuel Tank Recirculating Filter System (FTRFS) is designed to KEEP UP with the water, dirt and algae………..by recirculating and cleaning purifying your fuel on a dialysis basis. KEEPING UP WORKS ——CATCHING UP DOES NOT!
See the “FUEL DOCTOR” VIDEO that shows exactly how the diesel fuel purifier works. It’s so simple and efficient and has NO MOVING or WEAR PARTS. Sizes for all engines & fuel delivery systems.
